    On June 26-28, 2017 the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made an official visit to Warsaw. It has been his first bilateral visit in Poland since 2008.

    The main point of the President I. Alivev’s agenda was talks with the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda. Presidents met tete-a-tete in an extended format, opened the Business Forum; and finally President of the Republic of Poland held a reception to honour his Azerbaijani Guest.

     

    President I. Aliyev also met with the Marshal of Senate S. Karczewski and the Prime Minister B. Szydlo.

     

    During the visit the Road Map to the Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership and Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Azerbaijan as well as five other documents were signed.
