    On the occasion of the National Independence Day Ambassador Marek Calka gave a cocktail in the Yyldiz hotel reception hall on 17th November 2017.

    The event was honored by numerous guests from the Turkmen side: Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Mr. Szamuradov Atageldi, Vice-minister of Economy and Finances Mr. Eziz Annamuhamedov, Vice-minister of  Foreign Affairs Mr. Berdyniyaz Metiyev,  the Head of  Protocol Deparetment of the MFA Mr. Mohamed Ayazov  and the Head of  Department for the European countries Mr. Batyr Yusupov.


    In his speech Ambassador M.Calka outlined the key historical events leading to Poland’s independence and informed the guests about the planned in 2018 celebrations of Poland’s  100 years’ anniversary in Ashgabat. The Ambassador emphasized the openness of the Polish side towards intensification of co-operation  in the areas of economy, transport and maritime economy, as well as in agriculture and food processing industry. In reply, Min. Sz. Atageldi stressed the friendly relations between our countries , confirming authorities’ openness towards intensification of bilateral co-operation and appealed to the Polish side to increase its economic presence in Turkmenistan.


    About 40 guests also featured the representatives of the diplomatic corps, including the representatives of the Apostolic Nunciature: priests Andrzej Madej and Rafał Chalimoniuk, members of the local Polish community, representatives of media, cultural and scientific circles.
