    On 15th and 17th of August 2017 deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jan Dziedziczak met the representatives of the local Polish organizations.

     

    On 15th of August  2017 secretary of state Jan Dziedziczak , the delegation,  Poles and the Polish diaspora took part in the holy mass in the Catholic Church of Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary in Baku. The parish priests presented the Polish delegation with the publications devoted to the visit of pope, saint John Paul II in Azerbaijan, while  deputy head of  the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jan Dziedziczak declared the will to offer the parish a copy of the picture of the Virgin Mary of Chestochowa, on the 300 years’ anniversary of the picture’s coronation.


    In the assembly hall of the church, whose bells had been founded by the late president  Lech Kaczynski, secretary of state Jan Dziedziczak met the representatives of the local Polish diaspora and the Poles working in Azerbaijan.


    „Transmit the Polish heritage to next generations – this is our most crucial request” appealed secretary of state to the members of the local Polish community organizations, stressing the importance of learning the Polish language for keeping the identity.


    On 17th of August 2017 deputy head of the MFA Jan Dziedziczak visited the house- museum of a famous Polish architect Jozef Goslawski, where he met the members of the Polish diaspora organizations,  among them  Ms. Irena Trofimowa-Chomicka.  Deputy minister  thanked the representatives of the Baku Polish community for taking care of the national heritage in Baku and declared the Polish authorities’ support  to preserve it for the posterity.


    Along with the presence of deputy minister Jan Dziedziczak,  the Polish community program was honored by minister of national education, Ms. Anna Zalewska, secretary of state in the Chancery of the Prime Minister, Mr. Paweł Szrot, undersecretary  of state in the Chancery of the President, Mr. Wojciech Kolarski and the representatives of the Polish Parliament – senator Malgorzata Kopiczko and member of Parliament Mr. Piotr Cieśliński.
